Lenora A. Rodgers

Lenora Archer Rodgers, 92, formerly of the 300 block of Suburban Dr., passed away on March 7, 2005 in Nansemond Pointe Healthcare.

A native of Nansemond County, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Ophelia Pruden Archer. She was the widow of Bennie G. Rodger and was also predeceased by her first husband, Will Byrum.

Mrs. Rodgers retired with Planters in the Canning Department.

She is survived by her sons, Willie H. Byrum and wife, Bernice and Stanley Byrum and wife, Karen all of Suffolk; 11 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren; and a sister, Elise A. Little of Newport News.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday March 10, 2005 at the Sidney F. Harrell Chapel of Harrell & Hill Funeral Home. The burial will be in the Cypress Chapel Congregational Christian Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
