Garland &uot;Eddie Ray&uot; Greene, of Hampton, died March 12, 2005.

He was born Oct. 6, 1938 and was the son of the late William Eley Greene and Arnette Virginia Bailey.

He attended public schools in Smithfield and Suffolk.

He is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A funeral service will be held at noon Friday, March 18, 2005 at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 11150 Emmanuel Church Road, Smithfield, where the Rev. Eldridge Lucas III is the pastor. The Rev. William O. Greene Jr., of Hampton, will officiate.
