First Lady honored at Saint Paul PHC

Saint Paul P.H.C of Zuni will be honoring their First Lady mother Eudia Gay at 3 p.m. today. Also, dinner will be served. Due to inclement weather, the church was did not hold its ending celebration for the pastor’s anniversary in January. The service has been rescheduled for noon on Sunday, April 3. The speaker will be Vice Bishop Shelton Parker of St. James Miracle Temple of Newport News. Dinner will also follow this service.
Services at New Mt. Zion
At 10 a.m. today, New Mt. Zion Holiness, Georgia Ave., will have Sunday School. Worship service begins at 11:30 a.m. This Sunday is Pastoral Day. Bishop Everlena Riddick, the pastor, will be speaking. At 7:30 p.m. March 25, which is Good Friday, a special service takes place with Evangelist Carolyn Hodges as the speaker.

The Virginia Carolina Temple FWC Mother’s Board will sponsor a special service at 2:30 p.m. today. The speaker is Minister Diane Jones of Portsmouth. Daffodil Sunday at Oakland Christian
Oakland Christian Church, 5641 Godwin Blvd., will participate in the American Cancer Society’s Daffodil Sunday at 8:45 and 11 a.m. today. The altar will be adorned with daffodils and pots of miniature daffodils. The daffodil is the American Cancer Society’s flower of hope. The scholarship committee of the Suffolk Christian Church is seeking applications for three scholarships given annually to current Elon students and high school seniors accepted for study at Elon University. Oxford United Methodist new outreach program
Oxford United Methodist Church, 601 W. Washington St., has initiated a new outreach program for children in the intermediate area of the church. The &uot;Covenant Club&uot; for boys and girls from ages 6-13 will meet from 10 a.m. to noon on the third Saturday of each month.
