Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Cordero Jr. of Suffolk are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Rebecca Ann to Matthew David Knight, the son of Jackie Knight and R.V. Knight III, both of Suffolk.

Miss Cordero is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Willie Kight and Mary Ann Goodwin, all of Suffolk, and Edwin Cordero Sr. of Elizabeth City, N.C. Miss Cordero is a 2000 graduate of Nansemond River High School and is currently employed at Farmers Bank in Windsor.

Mr. Knight is the grandson of Hazel Liverman and Betty Knight, both of Suffolk. Mr. Knight is a 2002 graduate of Lakeland High School and is currently employed at Ocean Marine Yacht Center in Portsmouth.

A May 14, 2005 wedding is planned in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
