Robert C. Powell died peacefully in his home on March 27, 2005. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Eula B. Powell; one son, Brian (Ardella) Powell; a daughter, Carole P. (Michael) Walker; two sisters, Hattie P. West and Marie Flemings, Suffolk; two brothers, George C. (Shirley) Powell of Hampton and Charlie (Loretta) Powell of Washington, D.C.; and five grandchildren. Services will be on Friday, April 1, 2005, at Takoma Park Baptist Church, 635 Aspen St. NW, Washington, D.C. A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Youth Department of Takoma Park Baptist Church.
