Sister Cities Young Artist competition open to ages 13-18

The Suffolk Sister Cities Commission, in cooperation with the Suffolk Art League and the Suffolk Museum, is sponsoring the 2005 Young Artist Competition. Students ages 13 to 18 who either live or attend school in Suffolk are eligible to enter artwork. The theme for this year is &uot;Connecting Global Villages.&uot; The Suffolk Sister Cities Commission will present cash awards of $100, first prize; $75, second prize and $50 for third prize. The winning artwork will be entered in the International Sister Cities Young Artist Competition in Washington, D.C. and compete for one of 10 $300 awards.
The artwork along with a signed entry form must be delivered to the Suffolk Museum, 118 Bosley Ave., no later than 5 p.m. on April 5. The decision of the judge is final.
