Authorities discovered the body of a missing Virginia Beach man in east Suffolk late Thursday.

Detectives from Portsmouth and Chesapeake recovered the body of Cacell &uot;Donnie&uot; Braxton, 35, on a wooded lot in the 2300 block of East Washington Street. He was reported missing by his family nearly two weeks ago.

Police charged two Portsmouth men, Desmond Wright, 28, of the 10 block of Sebago Drive, and Rasean Rogers, 28, of the 900 block of Vermont Avenue, with Braxton’s murder, said Ann Hope, spokeswoman for the Portsmouth Police Department.

Each man has been charged with murder, abduction, two counts using a firearm during the commission of a felony and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, Hope said.

They are being held at the Portsmouth City Jail without bond.

Braxton was allegedly shot to death on or around March 18 while visiting at a house in the 900 block of Potomac Avenue in Portsmouth, Hope said. While there, he got into an argument with the two suspects, after which he was reportedly assaulted and shot.

Police have determined he was later abducted in his own car, which was found several days later at the Green Pines Motel on Portsmouth Boulevard in Suffolk, Hope said.
