Carrie Mae Howell, 82, of the 7100 block of South Quay Road, passed away on April 6, 2005 in her home.

She was the widow of Richard E. Howell Jr., and was the daughter of the late Livie and Mary Virginia Lewis.

A member of Holland Baptist Church, she was a homemaker and helped her husband with Howell’s Seafood. Her spunky spirit will be missed and will continue to keep us going. Never wanting to wait for someone to do anything for her, we thank her for her stubbornness and love.

Rachel would like thank all of the people who helped take care of her mother at home where she wanted to spend her last days: Betty Whitted, Home Healthcare Aid, who made Mama laugh and made her &uot;eat&uot;;

Serena Benwell, her next door neighbor who came out of nowhere to help us;

Michelle Carson, nurse, who helped tremendously at home;

David Fink, a friend who learned to be nurse and also helped tremendously at home and in the hospital and never left my mother’s side and took the last ride and final ride home with her.

William Lawrence, lifetime friend who also has been with us on doctor visits and in the home helping us. You all helped to accomplish the impossible.

God put you all in place at the right time and Mama and thanks you all.

A special thanks to Dr. Preston Judson for his understanding and support to make it happen.
