Bobby Flintoff scored seven goals and gave out five assists and Joe Vidarte scored six more as Nansemond-Suffolk Academy routed visiting Hampton Roads Academy 27-2 for their first TCIS win on Thursday afternoon. 10 Saints scored in the win.

A minute in, Chris Buttery flipped a pass to Willis Taylor in the center. With four defenders blasting him with sticks, Taylor made his way across the field, where he found Flintoff for the first goal.

In goal, Matt Holloman fought off HRA’s first shot at the 9:40 mark and launched a pass three-fourths of the way down the field to Kyle Jett, who snared it in front of the goal. Gwaltney snuck beh-ind the keeper and Jett lifted him the ball to go up, 2-0. Tyler Van Selow tossed an assist to Jett 10 seconds later, and Jett assisted on Gwaltney’s second goal at 8:45. Adam Nash gave Joe Vidarte an assist at 8:30, and Jett and Gwaltney combined again at 8:22.
