Enjoy keeping up with the actions and antics of city lawmakers from the comfort of your recliner?
Did you watch the February groundbreaking of the Fairgrounds project–held during a blowing snowstorm-without catching a chill?
If so, you can thank Tim Kelley, the city’s cable coordinator.
The Suffolk City Council did just that last week when it recognized the Louisiana native as the city’s Employee of the Quarter.
&uot;Tim handles the city’s entire television operation-the taping of council meetings and events that happen in council chambers,&uot; said Communications Director Dennis Craff. &uot;He also tapes and edits all the programs the city does for Municipal Channel 8 (on Charter Cable)
&uot;Tim does everything above and beyond the call of duty.&uot;
Before coming to Suffolk in December 2003, Kelley worked as sports director and station manager for several television stations in the South. He moved to Suffolk from Southern Pines, N.C.
Tim is married to Michelle dePoo Kelley and they have one son, Andrew.
