Jeff Cooper bopped a grand slam over the right field fence and Bryan Breedlove held off Nor-folk Christian from the mo-und in the last two innings as the Saints won 8-7 on Tuesday. Brandon Whedbee drove in two runs and Matt Hamlet got the pitching win. The Saints will host Atlantic Christian today.

Hickory scored five runs in the sixth inning to upset Nansemond River 9-6. King’s Fork fell to Oscar Smith. River hosts Western Branch on Friday, while Fork goes to Indian River. Both Lakeland diamond teams host Deep Creek on Friday.
