Skeeters have first wedding anniversary

Albert and Glennis (Sandra) Skeeter were united in marriage at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 10, 2004 at Grand Affairs in Chesapeake. The double ring ceremony was performed by Evangelist Betty Knight.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. Warren Rodgers and the late Mrs. Ollie L. Rodgers. The groom is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Delaware Skeeter.

The bride was given and escorted in marriage by her father Mr. Warren Rodgers.

Serving as the bridesmaids were Ms. Shawntae Rodgers and Ms. Artisha Skeeter, daughters of the bride and groom and Ms. Caroline Wallace, cousin of the bride. Matron of Honor was Carleen Young. Princess bride was Moneka Skeeter, granddaughter of the couple and the flower girl was Andriana Harper, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Harper, best friends of the couple.

Serving as the groom’s best man was his brother, Clifton Skeeter Sr. The groomsmen were Mrs. William Demery, brother of the groom; Trevino Rodgers, son of the bride; Leroy Cooper, best friend of the bride’s son and Cedric Lewis Jr., cousin of the bride served as the ring bearer. Lavar Young, nephew of the bride served as an usher.

Warren C. Rodgers II, brother of the bride and Mrs. Bridget Demery, sister-in-law lit memorial candles for the bride and groom’s deceased parents.

Victoria and Julia Skeeter, nieces of the groom served as hostesses. Mrs. Tina Lumpkin of Grand Affairs served as the mistress of ceremony. Mrs. Sharon Harper, best friend of the bride served as the director of the ceremony.

A shower was given for the bride on March 13, 2004 at Red Lobster Restaurant by Shawntae Rodgers, Artisha Skeeter, Mrs. Sharon Harper, Ms. Shelley Knight, Ms. Angelia Goodman and Carleen Young. Thank you all!

The couple honeymooned at Poconos and resides in Suffolk.
