Tommy DeTriquet, Cory Wells and Trevor Moyer had two goals each, Alton Donovan two assists and Sam Primkulov, Aaron Mule’ and Alex Dorsey a goal and assist as Nansemond River stayed perfect in intracity action Tuesday, routing visiting King’s Fork 10-1. The Lady Warriors also had a big win, grabbing a 9-0 shutout at Fork (both Warrior squads also defeated Lakeland on April 12).

Primkulov was the first to score, and Dorsey knocked in a pass from Donovan with 5:25 to go in the first half. But the Warriors were just getting started.

Moyer bounced a shot off a defender for a 3-0 lead less than two minutes later, and Wells charged into a mass of players in front of the Fork goal and back-kicked in a 4-0 lead in the final minute. 75 seconds into the second half, Primkulov brought the ball down the right and passed to the center for Wells’ second goal. Greg Allen scored at the 36-minute mark, upping the lead to 6-0.

In the girls game, Virginia Donovan, Hannah Moyer and Natasha Hill scored two goals each, with Heather Proffit passing out three assists and Amber Shaffer two. River battles Indian River today, with the boys staying home and the girls going to Chesapeake.
