Tucker Swamp Baptist Church, 37527 Seacock Chapel Road, Zuni, will have a time of prayer in their sanctuary at noon on Thursday, May 5 in observance of the National Day of Prayer. A barbeque by the pound fundraiser will be offered in the church’s Family Life Center from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 14. The cost is $6 per pound. All proceeds will benefit missionary Jason Witt as he travels to Ghana to assist with a new church. To purchase tickets or for more information, call 242-6553.

Spring Revival at Lakeview Missionary

The Salvation Army in Suffolk will be holding revival services May 8-11 at 400 Bank St. Maj. Danny Delaney from New Orleans will be the guest speaker for Sunday services. Chowan Singers, the premier vocal ensemble of Chowan College, will present a concert at Eureka Baptist Church, 1601 N.C. 32 North, at 7 p.m. May 1. Repertoire for the concert will include selections from the Renaissance to the present day.

Historic St. Luke’s Church

Historic St. Luke’s Church, 14477 Benn’s Church Blvd., Smithfield, will be host to the Hampton Roads Flute Choir Concert, a Waterfront Wave Event, at 4 p.m. Sunday, May 1., at 4 p.m. The group will be playing some original pieces written for flute choirs as well as transcriptions of famous masterworks, including &uot;Spring&uot; from Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons and &uot;Adventures in Space&uot; by Ricky Lombardo.
