Karl and Cynthia Kretchmer of Chesapeake, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Tarrah Shannon Lecik to Devin Lyle Hurst, son of Darrell and Dianne Hurst of Suffolk.

Tarrah is a graduate of Great Bridge High School and is currently a systems researcher and developer with MAP Communications in Chesapeake.

Devin is a graduate of Great Bridge High School and received his associates degree in Culinary Arts from Johnson and Wales University. He will receive his bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with a minor in Computer Engineering in May 2005 from Old Dominion University.

He plans to pursue a master’s degree in Modeling and Simulations.

He is currently a Developer with NASA Langley Research Center.

An Aug. 20, 2005 wedding is planned.
