Sears-Harrelson exchange vows

The marriage celebration of Miss Stephanie Heather Sears and Mr. Bruce Wayne Harrelson was performed on Saturday, April 16, 2005 in the Courtyard Garden of Virginia Crossings Resort in Glen Allen.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. Steve Edgar and Mrs. Diane Bailey Sears of Chesterfield. The groom is the son of Mr. Charles William and Mrs. Peggy Rudd Smith of Chesterfield.
The ceremony was officiated by the Reverend Alan Thorne of Asbury Memorial United Methodist Church in Chesterfield.
The bride is the granddaughter of Mr. Russell Ernest and Mrs. Nellie Downs Bailey of Chesterfield (formally of Suffolk), and Mrs. Norma Odell and the late Mr. Jay Evans Sears of Richmond.
Miss Sears is the great-granddaughter of the late Mr. Ernest Hugh and Mrs. Emma Britt Bailey, and the late Mr. Don Edmond and Mrs. Roberta Record Downs of Suffolk.
The groom is the grandson of the late Mr. Raymond Stuart and Mrs. Kitty Katherine Rudd, and the late Mr. Edwin Thomas and Mrs. Lillian Estelle Smith of Chesterfield.
The bride was escorted by her father and was presented for marriage by her parents.
Miss Shannon Andrea Sears of Chesterfield, sister of the bride, was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Miss Carly Elizabeth Crockett, cousin of the bride; Mrs. Patricia Keller Groe; Miss Mary Megan Johnson, all of Chesterfield; Mrs. Jennifer Turner Dorton of Amelia; and Miss Lara Randjelovic of Richmond. Miss Heather Edie Groe of Chesterfield was flower girl.
Mr. Charles William Smith served as his son’s best man.
Groomsmen were Gregory Scott Dorton of Amelia; Matthew Hunter Warren of Powhatan; Brian David Leeds, Sr. of Richmond; Henry Joseph Kesper and Zachary Maxwell Shupe, nephew of the groom, both of Chesterfield.
Mrs. Patricia Bailey Crockett, aunt of the bride, was Mistress of Ceremonies.
Mrs. Tracey Johnson, a friend of the bride, was gift table and guest book attendant.
The pre-ceremony and the pre-reception cocktail hour music was performed by Harpist, Dr. Melba Williams Bryant.
Miss Jesse Juliana Groe was ceremony soloist.
Mr. Ethan Bailey Crockett, cousin of the bride, directed the ceremony music. Mr. James Bostic, DJ, hosted the dancing at the buffet reception held in the Ballroom of the Virginia Crossings Resort.
Following a trip to Kaui, Hawaii, the couple will reside in Chesterfield.
