The Lakeland High School JROTC Inspection Team placed second in a weekend competition in Hampton. The team was commanded by Deale Porter and included Joshua Batchelder, Jenny Tacke, Calvin Williams, Andrew Owen, Nicole Parker, Shanae Birt, Chris Whitfield, Allan Childress, Wayne Daniel, Jerome Wilson, and Janay Hinton. In addition, Batchelder placed first in the Advanced Individual Knockout Drill competition, and Charles Porras placed third in the Basic Individual Knockout Drill competition.
