March for Jesus

The Second Annual March for Jesus will be held Saturday, June 4. The parade assembly will start at 9 a.m. in the parking lot on South Saratoga Street behind the Salvation Army. The parade will roll out at 10 a.m. and go along West Washington Street and then north on North Main Street to Finney Avenue and will conclude with a rally of praise and worship in the parking lot across from First Baptist Main Street Church.

Free dinner at Capernaum

Capernaum Seventh Day Adventist, 314 York St., will prepare a free dinner every Wednesday

from 4:30 to 6 p.m. On Friday’s, there will be fresh fruit, vegetables and canned goods. Clothes are available on Sundays. Call 934-9814 for more information.

Women’s Day at New First Baptist

New First Baptist Church, 1105 Hosier Road, will be celebrating Women’s Day at 3 p.m.

Sunday, May 15. The speaker will be Elder Sharon Revel of Sweet Haven Holy Church of God, Carrollton. The music will be by the Higher Praise Choir of Suffolk.

Family and Friends Day

King’s Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church, 6300 Old Myrtle Road, the members of King’s Grove Baptist Church will celebrate Family and Friends Day at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 15.

Bishop John R. Savage and the Healing Temple Pentecostal Church of Portsmouth will render the service.
