National Nursing Week at Autumn Care

In observance of National Nursing Home Week, Autumn Care of Suffolk will host intergenerational games from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. There will be a series of games and prizes offered that are designed to enrich the relationships and contacts between residents, youth, community members, families and staff. The theme of the week is &uot;Taking Center Stage.&uot;

NSU alumni to meet

Archeological Society

The Nansemond Chapter of the Archeological Society of Virginia will hold its regular monthly meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, May 20 at Dennis’ Restaurant, 3356 Western Branch Blvd. in the Churchland section of Chesapeake. Nick Lucketti, president of James River Institute for Archeology, will present a slide program of recent archeological projects in Tidewater.

Nansemond Training Alumni meets Monday

King’s Fork fundraiser

King’s Fork Ruritan Club will host a fundraiser dinner on Saturday, June 4. Menu items include barbecue, potatoes, slaw, hush puppies, which will be
