Eva Sue Wright Gilmore, 63, of Lummis Road, died at home Saturday, May 21, 2005.

Surviving are her mother, Goldie Harrell Wright of Suffolk; daughters, Jessica Gilmore Bouras and her husband, James Gregory Bouras of Alexandria, Ky. and Kathryn Wright Gilmore of Cold Spring, Ky. Also surviving are her sister-in-law, Barbara Odom Wright of Chesapeake; two nephews, Curtis Frank Wright of Calif. and William Douglas Wright and wife, Denise and their children, Preston and Cassidy of Chesapeake. She was predeceased by her father, William Frank Wright, Sr. and brother William Frank Wright Jr.

Eva Sue was a graduate of Holland High School and Guilford College in Greensboro, N.C. She lived for a number of years in Cincinnati, Ohio where she worked for Meyer Tool Inc. before returning to her native Suffolk. She taught in Suffolk Public Schools until February of this year. She was a member of Somerton Friends Meeting and United Society of Friends Women.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 24, 2005 in the Sidney F. Harrell Chapel of Harrell and Hill Funeral Home with pastors Pat Thames and Hershel Hill officiating. Interment will follow at Somerton.

Friends may join the family from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Somerton Friends Meeting at 5239 Quaker Drive, Suffolk, Va 23437 to Obici Hospital, Oncology Unit, 2800 Godwin Boulevard, Suffolk, Va. 23434 or to the American Cancer Society.

Her daughters would like to give special thanks to the &uot;Angels&uot; who helped with her care.

Her kind and generous spirit will be missed.
