Stallings recognized as Outstanding Teacher

The Baltimore City School Council of PTA Inc. recently recognized Melvin Stallings Jr. as one of the Outstanding Teachers of the Year at the 21st annual Teacher’s Appreciation Awards Banquet held May 1.
Stallings earned the award as one of the outstanding special education educators at Winston Middle School in Baltimore, Md. He believes in and strives for educational excellence and put students first at all times.
In addition to his position as a classroom teacher, Stallings wears many other hats on a daily basis. He serves as the chairperson of the Student Support Team, a presenter for school-based and citywide professional development, mentors new teachers and is a member of the School Improvement Team.
Stallings is currently enrolled in the BCPSS Aspiring leadership program, which allows him to assume designated administrative duties at Winston Middle School.
Stallings is married to Robin, and is the oldest son of Ann and Melvin Stallings Sr. of Suffolk.
