Gates of Heaven COGIC anniversary committee and church will be celebrating their pastor’s 11th anniversary at 7:30 p.m. nightly from Sunday, June 5-14. Pastor Superintendent Sylvester Silver Sr. will be honored along with the First Lady Missionary Linda L. Silver. They have five children, four girls, a son, eight grandchildren, one daughter-in-law and two sons-in-law.

The Sacrifice of Praise Ministries of Healing Chapel Baptist Church will hold a take-out Chicken/Fish Dinner sale from 11 a.m. 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 11.

101st anniversary at Bethlehem Christian

Bethlehem Christian Church (United), 312 Bute St., will celebrate the church’s 101st Anniversary at 3 p.m. Sunday. The special guests will be the Rev. James Anderson and New Hope United Church of Christ of Norfolk. The host pastor is the Rev. Emanuel Myrick Jr.
