A representative of the Nansemond-Suffolk Volunteer Rescue Squad will be at the Chuckatuck Volunteer Fire Department on Kings Highway, from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday to make and sell the reflective address signs.

The Chuckatuck Volunteer Fire Department will also hold a fish fry at this time, allowing participants to get signs made while they eat.Two-sided mailbox signs are $15 and one-sided house signs are $10.

Also, those who have already ordered signs can pick them up at this time.

The Parks and Recreation Department is sponsoring the SPOR-AC Summer Leadership Program from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays-Thursdays July 11 to Aug. 4 at Nansemond River High. The program offers a variety of team-building activities, computers, educational seminars and field trips. Parents must have completed registration form, proof of child’s age and a $20 fee. The Suffolk Public Library System is sponsoring the 2005 Summer Reading Program for children of all ages.
