Dorothea Porter Harrison, 51, was called to her eternal rest on June 14, 2005. She was the daughter of the late Ozie Earl Porter Sr.

She was a graduate of John Yeates High School and also attended Career Development Institute where she trained to become a Certified Nursing Assistant. She was employed by Sentara Health Care Services.

Dorothea

was also a member of the Christian Home Baptist Church where she served on the usher and nursing ministries.

She is survived by her mother, Patience Porter; two sisters, Nancy Oliver of Upper Marlboro, Md., and Janet Wilson of Gloucester; one brother, Ozie Porter Jr. and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held at noon Friday, June 17, 2005 at Christian Home Baptist Church. A viewing will be held from 1 to 7 p.m. today at Shivers Funeral Home Chapel and one hour prior to the service.
