Henry Wilson Jr., 60, departed this life on June 16, 2005 in the John Randolph Medical Center in Hopewell. Henry was the son of the late Henry (Love) and Ruth Wilson Sr.

He leaves to cherish his memory five children; Harriet Newsome (Andra Jr.) of Windsor, Janet Hughes (Avery) of Hampton, Dwight Lee Manning, Doris Winnegan and Ruby Wilson all of Suffolk; 15 grandchildren; two aunts, Jose Wilkins and Julia Wilson both reside at Autumn Care; one uncle, Junius Wilson; a devoted cousin, Pearlean Walker of Suffolk. A special friend Barbara Edwards (Sweet Pea) of Waverly; two stepchildren, Angel and Anthony Edwards and a host of other relatives and friends.

A graveside service will be held at noon on Wednesday, June 22, 2005 in the Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Suffolk with the Rev. Bernard Thomas officiating. A wake will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
