In conjunction with the city of Suffolk, Charter Communications will host a Stars and Stripes Spec-tacular on the banks of the Nansemond River at the Hilton and Constant’s Wharf waterfront from 4:30 to 10 p.m. Monday, July 4th.

As a highlight of the event, Robert Babb, the driver of Charter’s late model stock division race car, will be present to sign autographs. The car will also be on display. Suffolk resident Dennis Godwin is the marketing representative for Suffolk-based Babb Motorsports.

Entrance to the park and marina is free and open to the public. Games and other activities are available for children at a cost of $5 per child. Jason Swain and Island Boy will perform. For more information about this event, call 923-2360
