Mary M. Eason, 101, of Hempstead, N.Y., died June 30, 2005 in Mercy Medical Center. She was a native of Gates County, N.C.

She was the daughter of the late Ais Minor and Phyllis Taylor Minor and widow of Abraham Eason.

She is survived by four daughters, Erma Brown of Suffolk, Maggie Todd of New York, Elizabeth Eason of Brooklyn, N.Y. and Bessie Monroe of the Bahamas; two sons, James Eason and Sylvester &uot;Moody&uot; Eason, both of New York, N.Y.; and a host of grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 8, 2005 in Crocker Funeral Home. The Rev. Dr. Robert Rodgers will officiate. The Interment will be in the Holly Lawn Cemetery.

The family will be at 107 Reid St., Suffolk. Crocker Funeral Home, Suffolk, is handling the arrangements.
