Sankaran and Raval unite in marriage

Marie Anne Sankaran and Tejas Harish Raval were united in marriage in a Hindu ceremony Saturday, May 7, 2005 at the Hyatt Regency in Dearborn, Michigan. A Catholic wedding ceremony was celebrated on May 6, 2005 at St. Peter’s Church in Eaton Rapids, Michigan with Father Bennett P. Constantine officiating.
Marie Anne is the daughter of Drs. Kalathil N.V. Sankaran and Nellie M. Sankaran of Suffolk. The bride is a graduate of Nansemond-Suffolk Academy. She received her bachelor of arts degree in international relations and a doctor of medicine degree from Brown University.
Marie Anne is doing her residency training at Brown University affiliated hospitals in internal medicine continuing at Boston University Medical Center in anesthesia.
Tejas is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Harish and Sudha Raval of Jackson, Michigan. He received his bachelor of arts degree in economics and doctor of medicine degree from Brown University. He is currently doing residency in ear, nose and throat at Tufts University New England Medical Center.
Minna Sankaran, the bride’s sister, was the maid of honor. Srilakshmi Mitta and Meena Rana were the bridesmaids. Samir Khiroya and Rajan Raval, the groom’s brothers, were best men.
After a honeymoon trip to Cabo San Lucas in Mexico, the couple will reside in Boston, Massachusetts.
