William Henry King, Jr.

William Henry &uot;Billy&uot; King, Jr., 60, passed away Saturday, July 16, 2005 at his home.

A native of Suffolk, born Jan. 13, 1945, he was the son of the late William Henry King, Sr. and Helen Parker King.

Mr. King was a well-respected auto mechanic for over 40 years. He enjoyed racing at the Suffolk Raceway and won many awards there as a driver.

He was also an avid sports fisherman and is still remembered as a star football player for Suffolk High School.

Billy is survived by his daughter, Delores &uot;Lora&uot; King Snyder and her husband, David of Columbus, Miss.; a son, William Henry King, III of Richmond; grandsons, Dustin, Dalton, and Davis Snyder; a sister, Peggy K. Harrell and a brother, Edward Lee King both of Suffolk.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday July 20, 2005, in the Sidney F. Harrell Chapel of Harrell & Hill Funeral Home by Pastor Buck Bryant. Burial will be in the Holly Lawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
