Derrick Oliphant, 37, of 115 Squire Reach, Suffolk, died July 19, 2005 in Obici Hospital.

He is a native of Brooklyn, N.Y.

He was preceded in death by his father, Henry A. Oliphant and his sister, Adelynne Veda Oliphant.

He attended Suffolk Com-munity College in Long Island, N.Y.

He was a former supervisor trainee with Marketing Inc. Research Center.

He is survived by his mother, Barbara A. Oliphant of Suffolk; an adopted sister, Melissa Johnson (Jeffrey) of Central Islip, NY; two brothers, Henry A. Oliphant Jr. of Central Islip, NY and Erik Casi Oliphant (Eugenia) of Suffolk; two nieces; two nephews; aunts, uncles and many friends.

The funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Monday, July 25, 2005 in Crocker Funeral Home by the Rev. Freddie Jordan.

A wake will be held Sunday, July 24, 2005 from 4 to 5 p.m. in the funeral home.
