Ebenezer UMC to host discussion series

At 7 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 15, Ebenezer United Methodist Church will host the first of a discussion series dealing with issues of our day.
This discussions will be on war, peace, and faith. Discussion leaders will be Dr. Nancy Heisey (on peace), a professor at Eastern Mennonite University in Harrisonburg and president of Mennonite World Conference, and Dr. Joseph L. Bass (on war), a professional organizational consultant who has provided consulting services to churches in Virginia dealing with conflict resolution, organizational management/ad-ministration, and other organizational issues. He is author of &uot;Adding Power to the Cross: Approaches to Church Enhancement.&uot;
Audience members will be able to ask questions and express opinions.The event will be held in Ebenezer’s Family Life Center at 1589 Steeple Drive, Suffolk, Virginia 23433. It is located on Route 17 in northern Suffolk between the James River Bridge and the intersection of Route 17 with Interstate 664. The church telephone is (757) 238-2359.
