Benford Hunter and Nick Howell each shot a 77 as Lakeland defeated Wilson and Churchland 323-329-359 Wednesday at Bide-A-Wee Golf Course in Portsmouth. The Cavaliers head to Smithfield Downs today to play Franklin, and head back to Bide-A-Wee Monday to face Deep Creek.

Rashad Hunt and Nolan Butler each shot 80s, but Nansemond River couldn’t get past Hickory Tuesday, falling 311-338. The Warriors also return to the Portsmouth course Monday to face Western Branch.
