Joni Allen, 43, has been reunited with her sons.

Juvenile and Domestic Relations Judge William Moore on Tuesday continued Allen’s preliminary hearing on felony child neglect charges until Sept. 27.

But he also approved adding a third name to the court’s list of people permitted to supervise Allen’s visitations with her 4- and 8-year-old children.

Allen and her husband, Robert Allen, made national headlines last year after their toddler son was caught on videotape playing with a gun. Both Allen and her husband pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and were placed on probation after that incident.

Last month, Allen was arrested at her home in the 1300 block of Glen Haven Drive for a parole violation related that conviction.

Although she has been able to see her children on most days through supervised visits, Robert Allen has had to take the couple’s children to a second home in Virginia Beach every night, said her attorney Peter G. Decker III.

The person added to the list is temporarily living with the family, which enables the children to stay in their Suffolk home at night, he said.

&uot;The children are the ones who have been suffering the most,&uot; Decker said. &uot;Now they are back home with Mom.&uot;
