Roser Etta Deloatch was called away from us Sept. 1, 2005 in Obici Memorial Hospital. She was born to the late James and Hattie B. Deloatch in Nansemond County Nov. 20, 1955. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Robert Deloatch, William Deloatch, Norman Deloatch and James C. Deloatch Jr.

She was a member of East End Baptist Church.

She leaves to mourn her passing her daughter Emily A. Deloatch; one granddaughter, Laila R. Smith; four sisters, Iva Deloatch, Beatrice Watkins and Lorice Deloatch, all of Suffolk, and Shirley Wood of Norfolk; one brother, Willie Deloatch of Suffolk; eight aunts, Rosa Lee Valentine of Newark, N.J., Doris Brembury, Mary Johnson, Mary, Michelle, Rosa, Sheila and Gloria Cofield of Ahoskie, N.C.; two uncles, Bobby and Douglas Cofield of Ahoskie; a host of nieces and nephews; very special friends, Herbert L. Smith and the Smith family and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at noon Thursday, Sept. 8, 2005 at St. Timothy Baptist Church by the Rev. Robert Wilkins. Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. The family will be at 2211 Florida Avenue. Crocker Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
