Park needs attention

This is a letter to express my concerns about the park behind Farm Fresh.

I cannot believe the city would take so much time and effort to give the children a place to play but have so little time to tend to the grounds. Some friends and I were there early on a recent Saturday to set up a wedding reception. We supplied our own contractor trash bags and it was a good thing we did.

We had to empty the trash cans and take them to the dumpster ourselves. If we had, had a lawn mower we would have cut the grass. Let’s not mention the abundance of wasp nest that were in the picnic shelter.

It is really sad that the city is so involved to build new houses that they cannot take the time to cut grass, spray for wasp and empty trash where my children play. Everyone is so stuck on children safety. So on that note, do not take them to the park unless you want them to be stung or smacked with trash when the wind blows.
