Nansemond-Suffolk Academy’s boys’ volleyball team dropped to a losing record Tuesday evening at home, swept by Greenbrier Christian 25-18, 25-12, 25-14.

The Gators got out to a 15-5 lead in game one as NSA errors gave Greenbrier too many easy points.

Seven straight NSA points, with two Ashton Lewis kills and two Matt Hamlet aces included in the rally, seemingly set the first game for a tight finish.

Greenbrier responded with its own 7-0 run, effectively ending the game.

Game two was never close as the Gators kept rolling to a 14-5 lead and NSA didn’t make a dent in the margin.

The last game was tied at 11 before an 8-0 Gator run, put things out of reach.

Bennett Bynum led the Saints in assists with five. NSA (2-3) takes Cape Henry at home today.
