Pauline Crocker

Pauline Crocker of the 1700 block of Mt. Lebanon Avenue in the Hobson section of Suffolk, entered into eternal rest and peace on Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2005 in Obici Memorial Hospital. A native of Halifax, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Shedrick and Manie Moore Crocker and the widow of John Crocker.

She was a member of Mt. Lebanon Church of God In Christ and was the Church Mother, and a member of the Usher Board, Pastor’s Aid Club, and the Senior Choir.

She leaves to cherish her memory three daughters, Evelyn Eley, Corrine Crocker and Emily Crocker, all of Suffolk; two sons, David Crocker and James Crocker, both of Suffolk; two sisters, Mary Lee Hall of Suffolk and Marie Clifton of Salisbury, MD; 20 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren; a goddaughter, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2005 at Mt. Lebanon COGIC by Elder Larry Gray Sr. Interment will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Cemetery. The body will be taken to the church at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday. Crocker Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
