So much going on in Suffolk football

Suffolk high school football runs the gamut of emotions tonight. While Nansemond River cut down on the mistakes in a 41-6 defeat of King’s Fork last week, it’s safe to say that Indian River will probably give them a bit more competition. The Bulldogs, as well as Lakeland, are looking to bounce back from tough losses for their first respective Southeastern District victories this year. Nansemond-Suffolk Academy almost pulled off a stunner last week against Christchurch, and now can beat St. Anne’s Belfield for the first time of the millennium (they came close last year, falling 7-3).
Nansemond-Suffolk Academy vs. STAB, 6 p.m.
Lakeland vs. Western Branch, 7 p.m.
Nansemond River at Indian River, 7 p.m.
King’s Fork at Great Bridge, 7 p.m.
