Mr. Wade Carroll of 47 Stacey Drive and a resident of the Autumn Care Nursing Home went into eternal sleep Oct. 18 ,2005. He was predeceased by his wife, Martha Knight Carroll and his parents. He was a former worker for Webb’s Transfer Company. His survivors include four grandchildren, Yolanda Carroll, William Carroll, Montoria Carroll and Tavares Carroll, all of Suffolk; two great-grandchildren and a special friend, Ms. Leola Mullens.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, with the Rev. Robert Wilkins officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday. The family will assemble at 1:45 p.m. Friday at Pleasant Hill Cemetery for the graveside service. Harris Funeral Home is in charge of the homegoing.
