Lafayette Vernon Hunter

Lafayette Vernon Hunter, affectionately known as &uot;Crip,&uot; peacefully passed away Nov. 2, 2005 at Obici Hospital. Lafayette was born Aug. 10, 1930 to the late John Henry Hunter and Cora B. Hunter.
Lafayette leaves to cherish his memory and celebrate his life his devoted wife Barbara Hunter; three sons, Leroy Bremby Jr, James Bremby, SSG and Don Tonio Roberts (Angela); two daughters, Wanda Lister (Charlie) and Barbara Jean Hunter, and a host of family and friends.
Mr. Hunter will be on view for the public from noon to 7 p.m. Nov. 7, 2005 at T. E. Cooke-Overton Funeral Home. The family will greet visitors from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. The family will receive visitors at all other times at 125 N. 8th Street. Mr. Hunter will be funeralized at noon Nov. 8, 2005 at St. Timothy Baptist Church. Interment will immediately follow at Holly Lawn Cemetery. The family will assemble at 11 a.m. at the residence for the procession to the church.
