Mr. Charles Warren went into eternal Nov. 8, 2005, in Autumn Care Nursing Facility in Portsmouth. Arrangements will be announced at a later date. Harris Funeral Home at 685 Carolina Road is in charge of the homegoing.

Mary E. Carter

Mary Carter, 92, of 3124 Unity Road, Sedley, died Nov. 6, 2005 in Courtland Health Care Center.

She was a native of Southampton County.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Drusilla and Isaih Warren; her husband, Frank Carter, Sr.; and daughter, Marie D. Mason.

She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church, Ivor, and its Missionary Circle and Senior Citizen group.

She is survived by one daughter, Deborah Cherry (Donald) of Baltimore, Md.; two sons, Frank Carter, Jr. and Carl Carter, both of Sedley; 14 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren; two nephews, Herman Parker and David Warren; and a host of nieces, other nephews, cousins and friends.

The funeral will be held Friday, Nov. 11, 2005 at 12:00 p.m. in Ebenezer Baptist Church, Ivor, by Rev. W. T. Smith.

The remains will be taken to the church at 10:30 a.m.

Interment will be at Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery.

Crocker Funeral Home, Suffolk, is handling the arrangements.
