Phyllis Dillard Black

Phyllis Dillard Black, 58, of Suffolk died Nov. 10, 2005.

A native of Raleigh, N.C., she was preceded in death by her father, Robert Lee Dillard, and mother Alice Ferrell Dillard of Raleigh, N.C., and a sister Willie Dillard Daniel of Raleigh, N.C.

Phyllis is survived by her husband, Steve R. Black, of the home; three daughters, Lisa Black Wiggins and husband Robb Wiggins, Christy Black Coale and husband Jim Coale of Virginia Beach, Amy Marie Black of Suffolk; two grandchildren, David and Katlyn Wiggins of Virginia Beach; a sister, Ann Dillard Furguson of Raleigh, N.C.; her mother-in-law, Minne Inscoe Black of Durham, N.C. and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Nov. 14, 2005 at the Harrell-Hill Chapel. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Nov. 13, 2005 at Harrell-Hill Funeral Home on Pruden Boulevard.

Internment will be at 2 p.m. Nov. 15, 2005 in Raleigh Memorial Park in Raleigh, N.C. Floral tributes should be sent to Raleigh Memorial Park.
