Suffolk grabs 2nd in 3-way meet

Andrew Wingrove won the Boys 13-14 100-butterfly Saturday to close out Suffolk’s three-way meet with Hampton and host Smithfield. The victory, and the seven points it brought, helped Suffolk hang on to second in the meet, finishing between Smithfield and Hampton 591-419-418.

The Suffolk squad started the meet by winning the Mixed 6U, 7-8 and 9-10 medley relays. Ashley Petroski and Jesse Tillman were first and second in the Girls 6U 25-free, and Joseph Gillely won the Boys event. Julia Tillman and Jordan Stockman were tops in Girls 7-8 and Samantha Barbour won the Girls 9-10. Will Arcand won the Boys 9-10, and Taylor Berard and Kylie Potter got first and second in Girls 8U breastroke.

Jarrad Lynn won the Boys 9-10, and Alex Petersen was second in Boys 13-14. Antonio Peterson won the Boys 15-18 breastroke and Taylor Berard started individual medley by winning the Girls 8U.

David Forman was second in Boys 8U, and Samantha Barbour and Curtis Oliver swept 9-10. Kendell Effler was second in Girls 11-12, and Andrew Wingrove won the Boys 13-14.

Jesse Tillman, Bella Tillman, Ashley Petroski and Kylie Potter won the Mixed 6U free relay, Taylor Berard, Jordan Stockman, David Forman and Julie Tillman the 7-8, and Will Arcand, Curtis Oliver, Amanda Petroski and Samantha Barbour the 9-10. Ashley Petroski won the Girls 6U freestyle and Julia Tillman and Jordan Stockman were first and second in 7-8. David Forman got the Boys 7-8 and Curtis Oliver the 9-10, and Kristen Brown was second in Girls 11-12. Caleb Nixon and Alex Petersen were first and second in Boys 13-14.

Kylie Potter and Jesse Tillman were first and second in Girls 6U backstroke, and Taylor Berard won the Girls 7-8. Amanda Petroski and Will Arcand swept the 9-10 races, with Deatrice Bickham and T.J. Paull getting second in the 11-12s. Curtis Oliver and Will Arcand were first and second in Boys 9-10 butterfly, and Andrew Wingrove ended things with his 13-14 win.
