Maggie Johnson

Maggie Johnson of the 200 block of Jonathan Way, died Nov. 23, 2005 in Autumn Care Nursing Home. A native of Emporia, she was the daughter of the late Alice Owens and the widow of Clarence Johnson. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Gertrude Hicks and a sister, Irene Green.
She was a member of Greater First Baptist Church, Orlando.
Her survivors include five daughters, Mary L. Williams of Suffolk, Daisy Wilson (Douglas) of Hampton, Rachel Johnson, Christine Mason (Mitchell), and Shirley Johnson, all of Suffolk; one son, Clarence Johnson Jr. of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; 20 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren, 15 great-great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Nov. 28, 2005 in Greater First Baptist Church, Orlando, by the Rev. Dr. Henry G. Baker. Interment will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery. The family will be at the home of Christine and Mitchell Mason, 630 West Washington Street, Suffolk. Crocker funeral Home is handling arrangements.
