Mary G. Gray went into eternal sleep on November 26, 2005 in Williamsburg. She was predeceased by her parents, Willie and Gladys Mizelle Giles, and her husband, John Gray.
Mary is survived by her two daughters, Priscilla Gray of Stanford, Conn., and Gladys Romaniello (Frank) of Bridgeport, Conn. She is also survived by her three sons, John Gray Jr. of Bridgeport and David Gray and Charles Gray, both of Norwalk, Conn.
She will be missed by her surviving sisters, Pinkie Williams of Norfolk and Lillie Riddick, Lucy Beamon (Sam), Vertley Thorpe (Sylvester) and Hilda Williams (Westley), all of Suffolk, and her brothers, Willie Giles Jr. (Doretha) of Suffolk and Harry L. Giles (Karen) of Queens, N.Y.
She will be lovingly missed by her eight grandchildren and her eight great grandchildren. Mary is also survived by her loving fourteen nieces, eight nephews, and a host of other great nieces and nephews, loving friends and relatives.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday at Harris Funeral Home, 685 Carolina Road. A funeral of triumph will be held at 2 p.m. Friday Dec. 2, 2005 at The Rising St James Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Bishop Dwight L. Whitfield officiating. Mrs. Gray will lie in repose from 12:30 until the time of the funeral service The family will be at the home of Mrs. Meredith Butts, 320 Greenfield Crescent. The family will assemble at Mrs. Butts’ home at 12:45 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2 for the funeral procession.
Harris Funeral Home is in charge of the homegoing celebration.
