Alma Jean Stevens of the 200 block of West Constance Road, Suffolk, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, February 11, 2006 in Obici Memorial Hospital. She was born September 3, 1948 in Nansemond County and was the daughter of the late Samuel and Louvenia Stevens. She attended East Suffolk School. She was a member of New Mount Joy Food for Living Ministries where she was a member of the W. P. Wiggins Gospel Choir and Pastors Aide.

She is survived by two sisters, Margaret Watkins and Marion Davis Bullock, both of Suffolk; three brothers, Charlie Stephenson of Newport News, Melvin Stephenson of Suffolk, and Robert Stephenson (Lucille) of Hampton; a sister-in-law, Janet L. Stephenson of Hampton; one aunt, Ozellia White of Hampton; one uncle, Robert D. Gatlin of Youngstown, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at noon Wednesday, February 15, 2006 in New Mount Joy Food for Living Ministries by Bishop William P. Wiggins. Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
