It looks like the political season in Suffolk might get interesting after all.
Rumor has it that businessman Charles Parr is poised to turn in the required paperwork to challenge incumbent Bobby Ralph in the Suffolk borough.
Downtown attorney and Oak Ridge resident Jeff Gardy is reportedly considering mounting a challenge to Calvin Jones in Holy Neck. Jones also is an Oak Ridge resident where I used to live.
Ira Steingold appears to have reconsidered his challenge in Chuckatuck to Joe Barlow, but I understand someone I don’t know has or is about to throw his or her hat in the ring there.
All we need now is a challenger for Charles Brown in the Cypress borough and Suffolk voters might be treated to a real discussion of the issues and even alternatives on the ballot. Stay tuned.
