Nell Perry Haynes, 92, of the 1400 block of Wilroy Road, Suffolk, passed away on April 2, 2006.
Born in Boone N.C., she was the predeceased by her parents, Robert and Nelia Perry, five siblings, her husband, Earl W. Haynes and her great-grandson, Anthony Haynes.
A homemaker and Baptist by faith, she will be sadly missed by her sons, Jacob “Moon” Mullins, Ronald G. Haynes and wife, Rose Marie all of Suffolk, and E. Wayne Haynes and wife, Brenda of Goose Creek, S.C., her grandchildren, Jimmy Mullins and wife, Joy of Apache Junction, Ariz., Keith Duke, Robin Brennan and husband, Sean and Greg Haynes all of Suffolk, David Haynes and wife, Angie of Summerville, S.C. and Robert Haynes and wife, Amy of Goose Creek, S.C., great-grandchildren, Genisis and Trinity Mullins, Heather Duke, Jonathan and Taylor Brown, Robert Haynes and Michael Haynes and one great-great grandson, Matthew Pennington.
She was a dear friend to all who knew her and a wonderful caregiver to many. She enjoyed working in her yard, caring for her home and family. She enjoyed unusually good health and an active life all of her days.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 5, 2006 at 11 a.m. in the Sidney F. Harrell Chapel of Harrell and Hill Funeral Home, Suffolk by the Rev. R. Stewart McCarter, pastor of Southside Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Holly Lawn Cemetery.
Friends may join the family this evening at the funeral home for visitation from 7-8. pm.
