I owe an apology to users of this site.

It was suggested to me recently that I’d been walking a dangerous line by not reviewing all comments before they were posted.

I called townnews.com, the folks that host this site for us, and after explaining to a customer service tech what I wanted, he said, “Sure, no problem. It will take only a few minutes.”

He was right. What he didn’t tell me, and what I just found out today, was that when he made the switched, it wiped out virtually all comments that had been posted prior to the switchover.

So, there is no conspiracy afoot to eliminate all criticisms of public officials,

just a computer snafu.

Nonetheless, sorry about that. My bad.
