Mrs. Gladys Mae Rogers Davis, of Suffolk, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 14, 2006 at Obici Hospital.

She was

a patient at The Nansemond Point Nursing Home. Gladys was retired from the Planters Peanut Company. She was a member of the Missouri Baptist Church.

She is pre-deceased by her parents John and Winnie Horner Rodgers. Gladys is survived by her loyal and devoted daughter Winnie Jeanette Carson (Parris) of Suffolk, her son Albert Pete Sears ( Ruby) of Washington, D.C., her four grandchildren Janita Ford (Diron) of Suffolk, Sheree Carson of Washington, D.C., Wendy Sears of Atlanta, Ga., and Gordon Burrell of Suffolk. She will be missed by her two sisters Mrs. Margaret Foster and Mrs. Alice V. Harris both of Suffolk and her one brother John Rodgers also of Suffolk.

She is also survived by her 3 greatngrandchildren Diron Ford Jr. , Mike and Nyla Sears, a devoted and loving special caregiver Mrs. Annie Everett and very special caregivers at the Nansemond Point Nursing Home. Gladys will be lovingly missed by her many nieces and nephews and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

A

Funeral of Triumph will be held on Wednesday, April 19, 2006, 1 p.m., at Missouri Baptist Church, Lake Cahoon Road, Suffolk.

The Rev. Ronnie Boone will be officiating. Interment will immediately follow the service at Carver Memorial Cemetery, Washington Street, Suffolk.

Visitation will begin on Tuesday from 10 a.m. at Harris Funeral Home, 685 Carolina Road, Suffolk. The family will receive friends at the home of her daughter and son-in-law Parris and Winnie Jeanette Carson, 2624 E. Washington St., Suffolk.
